Woodhouse Farm in Powys

Woodhouse Farm offers Camping and Caravanning, Tipi rental on the farm, and Bunkhouse accomodation, set in the most beautiful and peaceful surroundings to be found anywhere.

Ideally located for walking, mountain biking, horse riding and many other outdoor activities, or even just sitting and enjoying the natural splendour, Woodhouse can accommodate groups and individuals.

Our 'Member Recommended' Camping and Caravanning Certificated Site is on level, well draining grass, in a very secluded location with outstanding views of the nearby hills. There are five individual pitches, each with full electric hook up facilities. A chemical toilet disposal point is available, along with fresh water supply. We do not have toilets and showers at present, but are planned for the future. In the meantime, for a small fee, we are able to loan a chemical toilet and tent.

Adjacent to this is a field which is available for rallies, camping and other events.

Flowing alongside and easily accessable is the River Marteg, where you can sit and relax, and enjoy true peace and quiet. If you are lucky you may even catch a glimpse of an Otter, or Kingfisher.

We also hold regular barbeques and other events, a theamed week for 'National Camping and Caravanning Week' and a Christmas package including Christmas dinner and Breakfast.

The Woodhouse Bunkhouse is converted from a former timber framed barn, and it's design is based on the continental 'Gite d'etape', or mountain hut. Upstairs provides dormitory syle sleeping, separated into four areas if required, and for smaller groups there is also room for relaxation upstairs.

Downstairs consists of a common / dining room, utility and drying room. kitchen, toilets and showers and a family / disabled room which will sleep up to six people. Outside is a garden area for relaxation.
