Newgale Camping Site is located in an area of unspoilt natural beauty in the heart of the Pembrokeshire National Park, on route of the Coastal Path with fascinating offshore islands, seals and bird sanctuaries. This spacious family site is situated adjacent to Newgale Beach - a 2 mile stretch of golden sand washed daily by the tides. This beach offers wonderful opportunities for pleasure: rock pools, swimming, wind surfing and bass fishing.

Its not so much the Campsite - although we think the facilities are pretty good. No, it's simply that Newgale is the sort of place you fall in love with.

To some people it's just a fantastic place to relax, to get away from it all. To others it's an adventure playground of sand and sea. To many families it's an inexpensive place to take the children on holiday - and the children certainly seem to have a great time.

From the Campsite, you just cross the road then the pebble bank, and there it is - a mile long beach for building sandcastles, playing games, flying kites or just lying there. The sea is popular for surfing, canoes or swimming, and there's often a lifeguard on duty in August.

There is a coastal bus service, but you're best off with a car so you can pick up supplies in the local shop, a mile and a half away, or visit other places of interest.

If you like walking, you can take the Coastal Path north to Solva or south to Nolton Haven. The round trip to either village can be done easily in a day, including a break for lunch when you get there. In fact there are plenty of good eating-places within a few miles of Newgale.

As you look out to sea from Newgale, you can see various islands including the nature reserves Skomer and Ramsey. Many different boat trips are available from different villages, including to Skomer from Martin's Haven or to Ramsey from St Davids.

Reviews of Newgale Camping Site

Used this site many times over the years since I once lived nearby - always good to be back in such a wonderful area! The campsite is one that quite literally is a mere "stone's throw" from the sea, although sheltered enough to suit most folk. The facilities are well looked after by the courteous site owners who make sure you want for little. Cheap rates are a good point - and local amenities are good. The area is an unspoilt National Park and offers stunning scenery for miles around - this site offers a good base for exploring. Surfing is a main attraction on the adjacent beach, although families can enjoy the area just as much too! Highly recommended for a break away from the hustle of modern life...
