The seaside village of Moelfre is 1 mile away; a picturesque fishing village with a long maritime history and a small sheltered shingle bay with a working Lifeboat station, Seawatch centre, shipwreck monuments, commemorative sculptures - pub, village store, gift shop, coffee shop, cafes and a restaurant.
Benllech is 3 miles away - 3 mini supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, takeaways, garage, banks, chemist, butchers, hairdressers, newsagents, and other shops, as well as a doctors and dentist surgery.
The small island in the bay is called "Ynys Dulas" and is home to a seal colony and numerous birds. Sometimes seals and their pups can be seen close to shore while walking the coastal path. Also, when they are in the area dolphins can be seen playing in the bay from the campsite.
Within a few minutes walk of the campsite there is the coastal footpath going in opposite directions from the beach. One follows the cliff edge to the village of Moelfre, the other along cliffs, coves and beaches to Dulas Estuary, where it turns inland, up over a hill ending at the Pilot Boat Inn; with a childrens play area and play bus.
Also, within a ten minute walk are Ancient Monument sites, the ancient village known as Din Lligwy, and a Neolithic and early Bronze Age burial chamber, as well as a derelict 16th Century church. There are also many other public footpath walks in the area and a designated cycle path that goes past the campsite.

Reviews of Dafarn Rhos Caravan And Camping Site
It was my second time to Anglesey having been camping for many years; we chose this site as its right next to the beach! On arrival found it very welcoming, we opted for a non electric pitch and once the tent was pitched and sat back with a cuppa to take in the views! Wow fantastic sea views so relaxing and peaceful given the location of the site! On our pitch There was a slight slope but not that great it caused any problems , There wasn't a shop as such on site though milk and a few other bits were available to buy; no shop was not a problem throughout the week as there was a fully stocked village shop a short drive away and an asda within an easy drive away too .
The showers were hot and so clean that they could have been brand new! No grimy smelly corners here! A great little pot wash area was next door with views of the bay, it made doing the washing up enjoyable with a view like that, the whole site was clean and tidy with a fenced of and regular emptied bin and recycling area, also plenty of fresh water taps close by .entry to the site from the road and beach path was gated and a key fob was used meaning good security to the sire. Having spent 9 nights there give the site ten out of ten and put it as the best site for location and cleanliness great for families wanting a quite and secure site with a beach location ,also a fantastic base for exploring Anglesey given good amount of cycle paths and coastal paths close by! Had such a great time there definitely Will be heading back there again.

I have done a lot of camping all over the UK / canada...I have to rate this as the best and most efficiently run site I have stayed at. I will definitely return
