Visit our picturesque waterfalls in the beautiful Nantcol Valley a mere 2 miles from Shell Island and a mile or so from the rugged Rhinog Mountains. This unspoilt haven offers nature at its very best.
Picnic between a brook and the River Nantcol before leisurely walking on a selection of prepared paths.
Nature Trail - A circular walk with information plaques and is approx. 1.5 kms in length.
Riverside Walk - A 2km walk following the course of the River Nantcol before circulating back to the Car Park.
Woodland Walk - A short walk through an enclosed 10 acre woodland first opened in 1995 by HRH The Prince of Wales.
Children's Island Nature Trail - A small inhabited island situated near the Picnic Site. The walk is a short circular route outlining the different species of plants within the island.
We also cater for caravans and tents, even though the facilities are primitive we are the very few sites that freely allow campfires, we will even sell you a bag of logs!! Portable toilets are also available from Easter to the end of September
This location is of particular interest to educational and activity groups as it has a wealth of natural resources, we also welcome scouts and guides camps.
