Situated in the beautiful Dee valley; within walking distance is the Grouse Inn, serving food all day, the 16th century bridge over the River Dee, or nearby historic Owain Glyndwr's Mound.
For walkers and hikers, the area is ideal, as there are various walks which start from the campsite, including the Dee Valley Walk, the Llantysilio Mountains and the magnificent Berwyn Mountain Range.

Reviews of Carrog Station Camp Site
No showers. Apparently only hot water to wash was in the one unisex toilet cubicle. Possible surcharge for arriving 'late' (though I was not charged). So cheap? No.
