Netherdale Camping Site in Somerset

Our Park was opened in 1933 and has been owned by the same family ever since. We cater for couples and family units using tents, caravans and motor caravans. At NETHERDALE we specialise in providing relaxing holidays in a tranquil country setting. In addition to the touring areas there are sites for some static caravans but these are for the personal use of their owners - no letting is allowed so, even at the height of the season, the open spaces and facilities of NETHERDALE are never crowded.

NETHERDALE is partly sloping, partly terraced and partly level, it is well drained and some shade is offered to areas of the Park by mature trees and hedges, should you wish to escape the Somerset sun! The grass is regularly cut to lawn height. NETHERDALE extends over about five acres and a large portion has been designated as a Play Area for children, keeping them safely away from moving vehicles.

Mains water is piped to conveniently placed taps; waste water gulleys and a chemical toilet disposal point are provided. The Amenities Block is kept spotlessly clean and there is ample provision of toilets, separate urinals, individual wash-basins, large shower cubicles, deep sinks for washing clothes and washing dishes, electric razor points and mirrors. Some hot water is free, some is by meter. Lighting is provided at night. We have several mains electric hook-ups for both caravans and tents. Tumble-drying facilities are available as is a freezer-pack facility and we can supply bottled gas.

A few hundred yards south of the Park is a Garage and Filling Station with a shop attached - this provides essentials from early in the morning to late at night. The village of Winscombe is but a few minutes walk away and has a wide selection of well-stocked shops and supermarkets, a library, garage, hairdressers, chemist, surgeries for doctor, dentist and vet, several banks, a post office and take-away food shops. There is also free off-street parking.
