AT THE AWARD CEREMONY HELD AT THE NEC, BIRMINGHAM ON 23 FEBRUARY 2010 LONG HAZEL PARK WAS LISTED 20TH IN THE TOP 100 PARKS IN THE UK FOR 2010 BY PRACTICAL CARAVAN MAGAZINE AND WERE RUNNERS UP IN THE REGIONAL FINALS FOR AVON, SOMERSET AND WILTSHIRE. THIS IS THE SECOND YEAR RUNNING THAT LONG HAZEL PARK HAS FEATURED IN THESE AWARDS.
Long Hazel Park is an immaculately maintainted private parkland which is Exclusively for Adults. If you wish to relax in a rural environment with easy access to local National Trust properties, country houses and gardens and to enjoy the countryside and heritage at its best then Long Hazel Park is for you. The 16th Century Village Inn and restaurant is a mere 100 yard stroll and a mini Spar supermarket and McDonalds is less than 400 yards away. If you have a bus pass you can take advantage of the local bus service which stops close to the Park entrance and connects with Yeovil town centre (7 miles), Castle Cary (4 miles) and Shepton Mallet Royal Bath and West Showground (12 miles). The historic hill fort of Cadbury Castle which is the legendary King Arthur's stronghold is 2 miles away. Easy cycle routes and walking trails abound for those who are more energetic. We deliberately do not have a club house or swimming pool as we pride ourselves on the Park being reserved for those who wish to relax. There is however an indoor swimming pool at Yeovil and another one at Wincanton (7 miles). We have in a separate part of the Park a lodge development underway for luxury holiday homes for sale and hire with all year round access. Prices and details on application. We also have seasonal pitches available if you would like to leave your caravan on a pitch all year round.
