Reviews of Gamlins Farm Caravan Park

This is a lovely quiet site and the family were very accommodating.

It was lovely to have good pressure in the showers and plenty of HOT water. The toilet/shower block were very clean and even had flowers in!!

Very easy access from the M5, supermarkets and plenty of good village pubs close by.

There is a small lake and a lovely large adjacent field for dog walking.

It really was a pleasure to stay, despite the weather.
we have been going to Gamlin Farm for about 8 years and always found a very friendly welcome. Any problems have been sorted without fuss or a problem. it makes a great base as there are some great pubs for meals and easy access to the surrounding area.

Good views. Large eggs.Lovely area.Rustic toilets, noisy dusty scrap yard next door.Danger from loose cess pit covers, flies in hot weather.Chicken smells. Our pitch flooded with effluent which we had to wash down.Danger from large lorries on arrival and exit.
Response from Gamlins Farm Caravan Park:
To anyone reading: the above review was left by fictitious guests that were asked to leave, we allowed them on site when no other campsite would, due to the size of their extra large RV (which is of similar size to a large goods vehicle). They also had an extra car with them which we did not charge for even though they were taking up two pitches. We also allowed them to use our own personal Wi-Fi (free of charge) which they had access to 24/7. We only charged them £10 a night throughout the duration of their stay even though the price changes during the season. The electric was also an issue as well because of the extravagant RV using so much electric. A number of visitors complained about the views from holiday caravans on site being obstructed by the RV, we also had complaints that they would hound other campers as soon as they arrived. So due to all these issues we asked them to politely leave (with 10 days notice) they where extremely rude to my teenage daughter and left that night.

There isn't a scrap yard next door but a skip hire business so this does result in the occasional HGV vehicle passing. The cess pit cover was more than likely loose due the fact that they were always removing it to put their polluted water away. We have broiler chicken on the farm, the smell may have been due to chicken being re sited or muck being removed from the chicken house which is only done a few times a year! The reason for the "effluent" flooding was due to the fact they had there own washing machine and washing up facilities on board that they had continuously plugged into our water supply for 4-5 + hours at a time (which caused low water pressure for other guest), so the pitch flooded as they where pouring huge amounts of waste water at a time into the nearest manhole cover. The lorries are not are not usually an issue to our campers but because of the size of their vehicle it might have been a problem to them!

We hope that the above review wouldn't stop new customers from visiting us. Please read our other review or visit our website! :)
