Set in parkland, in the beautiful Purbeck area of rural Dorset, a quiet, level, peaceful and relaxing site intended for families and couples to enjoy the country air but with plenty to do and see close by. Please Note, we are a tented site only. Go to website for further details.
Reviews of Moreton Gardens Camp Site
Stayed here for 2 nights mid August. Very quiet - only 6 other tents here although I understand it was fully booked for the bank hol weekend. This is basic camping - portaloos/showers, outdoor washing up - but all very clean and served with a lovely welcome from the farmer and his wife. The showers were pleasantly good, despite being portaloo type. The site however lacked some atmosphere because it was so empty and there was no communal area for kids to play or shower block/washing area to congregate. Stream/ford for kids to play nearby and a nice pub a mile or so down the road (The Seven Stars). Don't be fooled by the pub's appearance, its much nicer than it looks! Overall a nice site, pretty basic but clean.
Stayed here for a weekend away with my boyf. Location is perfect for cycling to the local pub.
Whats perfect about the site is that its back to basics, just you, your tent, and the noise of the local farm animals for company. Awesome campsite :o)
