Zeacombe House Caravan Park in Devon

Disappointed with this site. It had no atmosphere and was quiet to the point of dead - well, except for the times when the owner came around with his noisy lawnmower during the afternoon. The facilities were good although a little tired and old fashioned. The lady owner was nice enough but the list of rules and Don'ts was long and certainly removed the fun out of our stay - ie, no flag, no frisbees, no casting practice (for fishing on our trip), no fire in BBQ etc. Big pitches, as advertised, but no plan to where people pitched - so there were big areas with no-one on but 2 caravans pitched around our tent? The dog area was inadequate - the fence would not enclose our small(ish) dogs as it did not go all the way to the ground and led directly on to a road. There was also a big pile of what appeared to be slurry or mud in this area - which you would not want your dog to wander through before returning to the tent /caravan. Overall, an OK site but nothing special.
