Teneriffe Farm Camping & Caravan Site now managed by the National Trust, is situated on the stunning Lizard Peninsula. Ideally located near the South West Coast Path and the Lizard National Nature Reserve; perfect for those who enjoy walking, bird watching, cycling and other outdoor pursuits. There are numerous, excellent and award winning beaches only a short drive away.
The site itself commands a delightful sea view. There are 23 pitches, 13 with electric hook-ups, for tents, touring caravans and motorhomes, with generous spacing between each pitch. Pitches are located around the perimeter of a 3 acre field, leaving the centre area free for recreational purposes. A children’s play area has swings, slide and climbing frame. An additional 3 acre field is put into use for the high summer period which provides an additional 27 pitches, 13 with electric hook-up.
There is a shower & toilet block. Hot water is provided for the wash basins. A small charge of 20p is made for the showers. A hair drier is provided in the ladies and razor points in the men’s.
Facilities are provided for washing of crockery etc. and for washing clothes. Hot water is free of charge. New launderette facilities are to be installed for 2012.
We welcome you to bring your dog, but please ensure he is kept under strict supervision at all times, always tethered whilst on-site, and taken off-site to be exercised.
The village of Mullion itself is only a short distance away. It offers numerous facilities including a selection of shops, post office, and family pubs. Mullion Cove is within easy walking distance in one direction along the coastal path; the other direction takes you towards the very picturesque Kynance Cove and then to the Lizard Point itself - the most southerly point in Britain.
For those interested in aircraft, RNAS Culdrose, a naval helicopter training base, is situated near Helston. You may also see training taking part from the old Predannack airfield. And should you want an adrenalin fix, particularly if you have children, then a visit to Flambards in Helston is an obvious destination. But why not try your hand at kayaking or coasteering? Take out a kayak and discover coves not accessible from the coast path or for thrill seekers coasteering is great fun and a fabulous adventure. Fancy fishing for your supper? Fishing trips are available from Mullion Cove. Or you can fish from the harbour walls. All of these activities can be arranged from the campsite.
So, lots to do for the energetic. Or just relax, take it easy and soak up the atmosphere of this stunning area. All from the campsite.
