Summer Valley is a small secluded three-acre touring park on south facing land in a sheltered country valley near Shortlanesend (2 miles from Truro). We have been graded 3 stars by the AA, and also hold a Silver Award from the David Bellamy Conservation Award Scheme.

The park is beautifully landscaped with many mature trees providing private areas for you to pitch, as well as attracting a variety of bird life. All of our pitches have good views across the surrounding countryside and the park.

We are a family run park and pride ourselves on providing a helpful, friendly service ensuring that your vacation will be calm and relaxing.

Reviews of Summer Valley Touring Park

Summer Valley will evolve and become one of the best camping parks for miles around currently at the height of season some aspects of the site are not running as they should, but the new encumbants will strive to correct the situation. By next year I would hope for major improvements in all areas. There is a well used play area for children which is well attended, other than that there is a useful library with free WiFi stacks of books and board games for thinkers. The surrounding area is farmland with hay meadows and grazing, a public bridlepath runs through the hay meadows local residents use these fields for dog walks. A little farther afield is Idless Woods where I carry out my morning walk, there is copious wildlife and for fungi foragers plenty to be found. The hamlet of Shortlanesend has a pub and a local shop containing PO general supplies and off licence. Beaches are not far away, Perranporth, Holywell, Crantock, Trevellas Porth, Chapel Porth and St Agnes where you will find Mr Bateman the butcher and a little further up the street the fishmonger.
This site now has new owners. The utility block is spotless, the lounge/library area is useful, with tourist info available and books you can borrow. This site is fairly central in Cornwall, and most places can be reached by car easily. The local beach (of Seaside Rescue fame) is only a few miles away. There is a local pub which serves great meals, with friendly locals. It is a quiet site with a play area for children. We are looking forward to visitint again later in the year.
