Reviews of Love Lane Caravans and Camping

Loved it! Stayed in the hippiebus with the four of us; two children in the bunk bed, where only children can sleep. No lights, no telephone connection but so relaxing sitting at the fire place at night with the other campers. Loved the styling. Great weather and so many secluded beaches in the area. Ice creams every day at Roskilly's and shop only 10 minutes walk. Going back this year!

We recently returned from a planned two week stint at Love Lane Caravans. The weather finally got to us after 10 days, forcing an early retreat, but we found our love lane vickers caravan holiday very interesting. The site itself is very well located, only a few miles from Coverack and within easy striking distance to most of the lizard. The shower & wc facilities were good, but you will need a torch and take some loo paper, as what is provided, we found got used up fairly quickly. Our van was in reasonable condition and probably offered the most room of all the vans on the site bar possibly the american airstream, but it was in need of more loving care and attention. Three of the windows leaked in moderate wet weather, blinds were missing or broken on several windows and the gas cooker side panel was loose. There was no gas fridge and the original gas lamps do not work. We had to buy fresh food everyday and our own car re-chargeable lamp gave us light at night. However, the pull out sofa beds were comfortable, the woodburner was great and the van and its late 1960s decor brought back memories of 1970s childhood holidays on the south coast. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and overlooked the minor faults, but felt it necessary to highlight them for future users of the site/van. The site is new and i'm sure things will improve over time. The owners certainly seemed friendly enough and keen to make this idea a success. We would certainly recommend the experience.
