Apple Acres in Kent

Apple Acres is an ADULT ONLY site set in four acres with just ten hard standing pitches, each with electric hook up and grass surround. There are both Ladies and Gents showers, toilets and wash basins. You will also find a "pot wash" area for campers and picnic benches available.

The site is open from March 1st through to January 15th making it one of the few in the area open over the Christmas period.

Apple orchards to the north and south sides, plum orchards to the east and meadow to the west, where, if you are early risers, car boot sales (featured twice on T.V.) are held on occasional Sundays in summer. Don't worry if you are not early risers you shouldn't be disturbed.

The site is very peaceful and un-cluttered. Robert and his wife Bernie aquired the land in 2000 and work to keep it as nature intended.

Wildlife, including deer, are often seen roaming the adjacent woods in the the early evening. Over two days, some thirty different birds were sighted, from wrens and tits to woodpeckers, herons, owls and, very unusually, a buzzard.

On fine summer evenings, hot air ballons drift lazily overhead and disappear over the trees. They have been known to land in adjacent fields.

You will find acres of land to walk your dog. A very pleasing pub serving real ales and very good food is just a short ,18 minute walk away. ( Twenty minutes on the way back! )

For those less energetic even to BBQ, the local Chinese takeaway delivers to the site. Banks, shops and supermarkets are all within a ten minute drive, with taxis readily available. The local bus service stops five minutes away.

In short, peace and quiet with everything at hand.

Booking is advisable and well behaved pets are welcome (on a lead). You will find acres of excerise space but please respect the wildlife.

Please note WE DO NOT ACCEPT BOOKING BY EMAIL. Please call or write for enquiries. You can download and print off a booking form from the index.

Just a few dos and don'ts;

No ball games on site. Clear up after your dog and keep him on a lead on site. Don't let your music or other activities disturb others. Visitors are welcome and there is a parking area before you reach the main gates for their cars but, NO CHILDREN.

Respect the countryside, and please help yourself to apples!

We look forward to meeting you,

ROBERT and BERNIE
