The campsite has very basic facilities for those who want a break from modern life, but there is a country pub and a spar shop an easy five minute walk away and a bustling little market town just 4 miles down the road. This is Wild Camping on a working farm; at present campers washing facilities consist of just a cold water tap though we do have beautiful new flush loos, so don't expect too much in the way of modern comforts, just enjoy our countryside! Campfires allowed. No cars allowed in the camping fields except briefly to unload. Studio Flat available if you want more comfort as the kids camp outside!
Reviews of Oakfield Farm
Just a quick note to say thank you so much for a lovely weekend's stay. Oakfield Farm is a very special place not to be missed, and you made us feel SO welcome.
For those thinking of visiting Oakfield Farm- we strongly suggest that you do! Traditional campfires, lots of camping space, great toilet facilities and a friendly welcome provide the bedrock for a fabulous stay-away, whilst the chance to meet the animals and witness traditional hand-milking will be a bonus for any visitor- particularly those with children.
We had a lovely time and will definitely be back again to visit Pansy the Cow and the piggies
