Reviews of Mains Farm Wigwams
Lovely, lovely views in tent/caravan field.
Shame there were only portaloos in the field though..not great for wee kids!
Park & playing fields behind the tenting field were good . Pub at the end of the village was FAB! (Lion and unicorn) Pub in mid of village was OK but quite dated! (Crown?). Village store provided all our basic essentials.
Midges a slight problem mid-June for midgey prone hubby. Also - no hot water for dishes which was very annoying.
Kids had a ball though but only cos it was quiet so lots of empty pitches to play on.

I visited wigwams 2 years ago but its only now that i seen the review section. So I decided to write it up. I have been at this site twice and really enjoyed it i take children with me and we have barbiques and go to the safari park plus the hotel in the village do a great meal with a childs menu. However my only complaint is that the steps at the doors into the wigwams are old sleepers or springy structures that are high slippy and can be very dangerous i fell on my last visit and i really hurt myself. We played swingball, frizbies water fights and many other games out doors and at night we had our tv with dvd facility and we watched a movie it was great..
Great view out over the hills.
Nice facilities.
Park for kids.
Pub shop down the road.
Reasonable prices.
