Miltonhaven Seaside Caravan Park in Aberdeenshire

The Park, which covers some 6 acres, is flat and grassy and bordered by two streams, the Finella and the Lauriston. Adjoining the Park is a further 6 acres of croft and woodland including a large pond, home to all sorts of insects, aquatic animals and birds. The pond can be used, at certain times, for canoeing.

Miltonhaven has its own sandy beach and safe, swimming area. Rock pools, adjacent to the park, awaiting exploration, by young and old alike. The whole area surrounding the caravan park abounds with wildlife; deer, fox, rabbit, hare and weasel.

The croft has a number of pets; a pony, Rio; five goats Elsie, Isobel, Hamish, Peggy and Cheeky; numerous chickens and a variety of ducks. We also have 3 rare breed Castlemilk Moorit sheep. Friendly cats, Purdy and Tom, can often be seen lurking in the undergrowth. Numerous mallards and some moorhens have decided that they also should be regarded as pets!

For the bird watcher, the surrounding area is regularly visited by heron, moorhen, owl, buzzard, kestrel, merlin and kingfisher, and a variety of seabirds including the Little Tern.

The Coastal Footpath runs directly in front of the Park, allowing leisurely walks to the nearby fishing village of Johnshaven and beyond.

Within a 10 mile radius there are many leisure activities available, e.g. Golf, Bowling, Tennis, Swimming Pools, Horse Riding, two local Leisure Centres and numerous hotels.
