The site is small, quiet, friendly and undeveloped, on a sheep farm, in a lovely level field with beautiful views all round.
Hot (free) showers and washing up, fridge, phone charging, toilets, visitor information. Campfires are allowed.
The Howgill Fells begin just up the lane for walking and mountain biking.
In Ravenstonedale village (a short walk away) are 2 country pubs serving excellent meals, a village grocery shop, public tennis court, 9/18 hole golf course, and a small art gallery.
There are plenty of interesting local walks and rides. Nearby you can also go pony trekking or trout fishing - catch one and barbeque it later (the trout not the pony!)
Info on any of the above is available at the campsite.
There is good access to the lovely Eden Valley, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales but none of the hustle and bustle.
Camping as it used to be!
